Young scores 88 as Barbados ‘A’ crush Dominica in last T20

Portsmouth, Dominica, March 11 -(www.barbadoscricket.org) – Captain Nyeem Young struck a brisk half-century as Barbados ‘A’ brushed aside Dominica by 70 runs in their second and last Twenty20 match at Benjamin Park today.

Young scored 88 off 53 balls with eight fours and one six at No. 5 in a total of 169 for eight off 20 overs after winning the toss.

He added 51 in 6.4 overs for the sixth wicket with Matthew Forde, who made 28 off 25 balls including five boundaries.

Dominica were bowled out for 99 in 19.2 overs.

Medium-pacer Zidane Clarke took four for 13 off 3.2 overs and off-spinner Kemar Smith, three for 12 off four overs.

Barbados ‘A’ won all of their matches against the Dominicans. Apart from the T20s, they played a three-day and two 50-over matches.
