Worrell, Boucher hit half-centuries as Barbados ‘A’ beat Dominica in 50-over match

Portsmouth, Dominica, March 7 -(www.barbadoscricket.org) – Set up by a first wicket partnership of 157 in 18.5 overs between Leniko Boucher and Rashawn Worrell, Barbados ‘A’ easily defeated Dominica by six wickets in their 50-over match at Benjamin Park today.

Chasing 205 for victory, Barbados ‘A’ triumphed in 27.4 overs.

Left-hander Worrell hit the top-score of 75 off 69 balls with eight fours and two sixes, while fellow Carlton club player Boucher made 70 off 59 balls including seven fours and three sixes before Boucher was first dismissed.

Dominica were bowled out for 204 in 36.3 overs after losing the toss.

Captain Gian Benjamin top-scored with 72 off 71 balls including 14 fours at No.3 before he was sixth out with the score 143 in the 26th over.

Brian Joseph made 41 off 34 balls with six fours and two sixes at No. 7.

There were two wickets each for skipper Nyeem Young, fellow seamers Matthew Forde and Amari Goodridge and left-arm spinner Joshua Bishop.
