Smith stars with bat and ball as Barbados’ A’ beat Dominica again

Portsmouth, Dominica, March 9 -(www.barbadoscricket.org) – All-rounder Kemar Smith produced a solid performance with both bat and ball as Barbados ‘A’ beat Dominica by six wickets again in their second 50-over match at Benjamin Park today.

Dominica were bowled out for 123 in 34.3 overs after they were sent in.

Captain Gian Benjamin top-scored with 41 off 57 balls including three fours and two sixes at No. 4 before he was leg before wicket by off-spinner Smith.

Smith took four for 25 off 10 overs, leg-spinner Javed Leacock, four for 29 off 6.3 overs and medium-pacer Zidane Clarke, two for 21 off four overs.

Barbados raced to their target in 17.5 overs.

Smith hit the top-score of 43 off 26 balls including four fours and three sixes at No. 5.

Rashawn Worrell and Shian Brathwaite each scored 26 in an opening partnership of 50 off 7.3 overs.
