Bridgetown, Barbados, December 13 – (www.barbadoscricket.org) – Barbados Under-17 captain and national Under-19 team player Nathan Sealy sustained his prolific wicket-taking form with yet another seven-wicket haul in the BCA First Division three-day championship on Saturday.

Playing at home at Church Hill on the opening day of the ninth and final series of matches, left-arm spinner Sealy bagged seven for 24 from 15 overs on the trot for Foundation School against Lords to push his tally to a whopping 68 wickets for the season.

Electing to bat, seventh-placed Lords were bundled out for a paltry 99 in 32.1 overs and by stumps, Foundation had reached 170 for six. Captain and all-rounder Sealy, who bats right-handed, was run out for 38.

Ahead of the final series, Foundation were in fourth position on 79 points, including three wins, four defeats and one no-result.

It was Sealy’s fourth seven-wicket haul for the season and his eighth five-wicket haul all told. The performance erased his previous best of 7-26 against Sagicor Life UWI in the first innings of Round 5 at 3Ws Oval.

He has taken two ten-wicket match hauls of 14 for 78 (7-33 & 7-45) against IDL Walkers Sand Quarry Isolation Cavaliers in the seventh series and 11-61 (6-5 & 5-56) against Little Fabian’s Enterprises Maple in the fourth series – both on home soil.

Sealy, who has opened the bowling all season except in the second round against new champions IGS Insurance Brokers Yorkshire, has so far sent down a total of 226.2 overs with 61 maidens and conceded 574 runs at a miserly average of 8.44 runs per wicket from eight matches. He missed the opening series against Police at Weymouth due to national Under-19 duties in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Sealy was the leading wicket-taker in the 2022 BCA Super Cup, capturing 26 wickets, after representing Foundation, SigniaGlobe Financial Barbados Youth ‘B’ and champions Empire.
