MR. RODERICK ESTIWCK TO JOIN STAFF OF BARBADOS CRICKET ASSOCIATION

Former national cricketer, Mr. Roderick Orville Estwick, will join the staff of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) as coach effective February 1, 2023. Estwick, aged 61, represented a number of teams during an extended playing career including Barbados, Transvaal (South Africa) and Todmorden (Lancashire League, United Kingdom).

Estwick is also the brother of former West Indies cricketer, the late Sylvester Clarke.They remain probably the only brothers to take a hat-trick in regional first-class cricket. Clarke, against Trinidad & Tobago at Kensington Oval in 1978, and Estwick against Guyana at Kensington Oval in 1983. His victims were Faoud Bacchus, Clyde Butts and Roger Harper.

The experienced Estwick played in 37 First Class (141 wickets) and 42 List A matches (43 wickets) before taking up many coaching roles in the Caribbean.  At the inaugural edition of the global T20 in Canada (2018) he was one of the West Indies B coaches. Prior to this recent appointment at the BCA, he served as Assistant Coach to the West Indies senior cricket team.
