Louis, Hutson, Husbands in North East Masters squad for Barbados tour
Bridgetown, Barbados, September 27 -(www.barbadoscricket.org) – Former Barbados athlete Richard Louis, who also played in Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) competitions for Carlton club, will captain the North East Masters team of Atlanta on a four-match tour of Barbados.
The squad includes a few well-known former Barbados Under-19 team as well as BCA club players.
Among them is vice-captain Adsyl Hutson, a bubbly fast bowler who played for the Barbados Youth team, the renowned Empire club and Carlton.
Other noted players are Dr. Rodney Husbands, regarded as one of the best local wicketkeepers during his career for Coleridge & Parry School, the national Youth side and Maple club; former national Youth team fast bowler Alvin Howard and Charles “Tony” Reid, who gained a big reputation for his attacking batting when he represented then giant-killers Malvern in the Intermediate division in the late 1980s after playing for the BCL.
