Hinds hits 85 as Combermere grab first innings lead against St. Leonard’s – BCA Schools’ Under-15 Final, Day 2
Bridgetown, Barbados, August 9 – (www.barbadoscricket.org) – Opener Jahidi Hinds struck a fine half-century as Nicholls Baking Combermere gained a 77-run first innings lead against St. Leonard’s on the second day of the three-day Final in the 2023 BCA Schools’ Under-15 Championship at Lears.
Starting the day on 25 with the score 58 for one off 25 overs, Hinds made 85 off 240 balls with three fours and one six before he was last out in a total of 141 off 67 overs, replying to 64 all out off 34 overs.
There was only one other double-figure contributor in captain Justin Parris, who scored 29 on the first day.
Javontye Norville took three for 22, Jayden Chase three for 36 and Amar Sawh two for 31.
St. Leonard’s were 46 for one off 16.2 overs in their second innings at the close – still 31 runs in arrears.
Kelani Clarke was unbeaten on 34.
