Four centuries in BCA Super Cup

Bridgetown, Barbados, June 15 – (www.barbadoscricket.org) – Four centuries were scored in the BCA Elite/Division 1 Super Cup Championship today.

Two came from the ESA Field Pickwick pair of Yvan Grant and Craig Holder in a 224-run win against Walkers Reserve Isolation Cavaliers at Foursquare Oval.

The other centurions were Kemal Smith of Bayview Hospital YMPC off Maple and St. Catherine’s Dario Cumberbatch, who produced a remarkable all-round performance by grabbing six wickets against Lords.

YMPC triumphed by 179 runs at Beckles Road and St. Catherine by 286 runs at Lowlands.

Opener Grant scored 109 off 125 balls with six fours and five sixes and left-hander Holder was unbeaten on 102 off 116 balls including 11 fours as Pickwick amassed 302 for six. The pair added 152 in 32 overs for the fourth wicket.

Isolation Cavaliers were bowled out for 78 in 24.2 overs.

Smith hit 101 in a total of 293 for seven.

Maple fell for 114 in 24.3 overs.

Batting at No. 7, Cumberbatch slammed 128 off 94 balls with 11 fours and four sixes as St. Catherine scored 308 for nine.

The fast bowler then snatched six for 17 off five overs as hapless Lords, batting with two players short, fell for 22 in 9.2 overs.
