Foundation captain Sealy grabs record 73 wickets in First division

Bridgetown, Barbados, December 18 – ( – Nathan Sealy of Foundation School capped a memorable season with his second five-wicket haul of the match against Lords and ninth all told to climax with a record- breaking 73 wickets in eight matches in the BCA First division three-day Championship.

The left-arm spinner claimed five for 81 from 26 overs as Lords, who were led by 145 runs on first innings, were bowled out for 297 at Church Hill. It was easily their highest score of the season.

Needing 153 to win, Foundation got home by seven wickets, led by a typical attacking 79 from opener Shomari Davis.

Playing on the final day of the season in the ninth round, captain Sealy followed up his first innings seven for 24 en route to match-figures of 12 for 105. It was his third ten-wicket match haul.

In the final analysis he sent down a total of 252.2 overs, including 65 maidens and conceded 655 runs at an amazing average of 8.97 per wicket.

Foundation who began the round in fourth spot on 79 points, took away 18 points from the encounter, two shy of the maximum 20 points. They finished a very impressive second in the ten- team table with 97 points, including four victories and an equal amount of defeats and one no-result.
