Dominic Drakes hits century, Jonathan Drakes (96) in Barbados practice match

Bridgetown, Barbados, March 8 – (www.barbadoscricket.org) – Dominic Drakes slammed a century and the unrelated Jonathan Drakes fell four runs short of a ton on the first day of a Barbados Pride two-day practice match at Dayrells Road today.

Batting at No. 5, left-hander Dominic Drakes scored 103 off 84 balls in 128 minutes with 16 fours and three sixes before retiring in a total of 314 off 64.1 overs by Shayne Moseley X1 against Shamar Springer X1.

Jonathan Drakes’ 96 came off 138 balls in 233 minutes including 14 fours at No. 3.

The pair added 172.

Left-arm spinner Camarie Boyce was the leading wicket-taker with three for 40 off 12.1 overs.

Fast bowler Jair McAllister took two for 35 off 10 overs and off-spinner Tariq O’Neale, two for 43 off eight overs.

Springer X1 closed on 11 for one off nine overs.
