BARBADOS SENIOR WOMEN FINISH 2ND OVERALL IN THE CWI REGIONAL T20 BLAZE TOURNAMENT IN GUYANA
On the final day of the 2022 CWI Regional T20 Blaze tournament (June 14), the Barbados Senior Women team finished 2nd in the overall standings following their lone defeat at the hands of the Trinidad and Tobago team.
Both Jamaica and Barbados finished on 16 points, but based on their superior Net Run Rate (2.170), Jamaica were crowned as the champions of the 2022 tournament.
Among the leading performers for the Barbados team was bowler Miss Shanika Bruce who took 9 wickets and captain Hayley Matthews who was also among the leading run scorers in the competition.
