Re: 2024 BCA’s Competitions
The following adjustment is to be made to the BCA Special Conditions and Match Schedule Document, and BCA Twenty-20 Over Competition Playing Conditions as noted below: –
1 BCA Special Conditions and Match Schedule Document
Clause 11. AWARDS OF PRIZES ETC is to be adjusted to include an additional clause. The whole of clause 11 shall now read as follows: –
11 AWARDS OF PRIZES ETC
- At the conclusion of the series of matches played in any season the Board of Directors may, in its absolute discretion, make awards of prizes in the form of money, trophies, certificates or other tokens of excellence to any team, individual player, umpire, scorer or other person who had participated in the competitions conducted under these Special Conditions and Regulations.
- Individual awards will be based on the entire competition, from preliminaries to finals.
2 BCA Twenty-20 Over Competitions Playing Conditions
Clause VII. Play-Offs
VII (d) is corrected to accommodate entry into the Play-Offs at the Semi-Finals round, as well as the Quarter-Final round.
Clause d) shall be amended by adding the following at the end: –
Where teams enter the Play-Offs by playing a Semi-Finals round, (as in this year’s Cup Competition,) no team shall play another at this round from its own Preliminary Zone. For guidance, should the above occur, the 2# highest ranked teams shall maintain their place in the chart and the two (2) other team shall exchange positions.
The whole clause shall read: –
1 d) The Semi-Finals and Finals will be played at venues to be determined by the organising committee. For guidance, at the Quarter-Final stage no team shall play another team that originated from its own zone. Where teams enter the Play-Offs by playing a Semi-Finals round, (as in this year’s Cup Competition,) no team shall play another at this round from its own Preliminary Zone. For guidance, should the above occur, the 2# highest ranked teams shall maintain their place in the chart and the two (2) other team shall exchange positions.

Chart 18.A.4. c) – BCA Twenty/20 Plate for Second Division teams in Appendix A – Match Schedule Document, the outline of the 47 clubs and teams was divided into 8# zones. From these 8 Zones, only the zone winners shall enter the play-Offs.
